Sustainable Forestry Regions Site Selection in Ethiopia using PostGIS

The main objective of this task was to identify sustainable Forestry Regions (SFR) in Ethiopia using spatial analysis. The following criteria was used for the site selection.
- SFR cannot be in a National Park
- SFR cannot be within 10 km of an endangered species habitat
- SFR cannot be within 1 to 1.5 km of a major waterway
- SFR must be in excess of 500 sq km

The workflow was conducted using PostGIS.
