Analysis of local OpenStreetMap contributions to Humanitarian Assistance
This project applies data mining techniques to extract and analyze OpenStreetMap (OSM) contributions for humanitarian assistance. The study begins with conceptualizing local OSM data by engaging with local community mappers including Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) and YouthMappers. The outcome was used to develop a classification schema that was used to extract and measure local data contributions. Ohsome API was used to extract OSM data both at the spatial and temporal scales. Presented results at State of the Map 2021.
